Moog Para on one channel, 1084 on mult.
GML or SSL on either of them if necessary.
Sometimes Fearn with SSL.
Sometimes only Fearn when I want a particular 70's sound bass.
Sometimes Pultec (rarely though)
Sometimes only SSL (collective puking...?)heh
Sometimes...
Sometimes...
Sometimes...

Today...Moog, then SSL, top it off with 1084...

Whatever...it's all in the riding !!

If you look at the envelope of the bass as a plastic bag, then the Moog excels at tightening the plastic bag: for reasons other than the name itself, it sounds a bit like a Minimoog to me...because of that firmly tightened plastic bag...
Makes any sense at all?

Best,
RR.

It's amazing how huge a flat Jazz Bass can sound when played well. I like re-amping to 2 amps as well. One, a full sized bass rig, the other, a small, tube guitar combo. Mix and blend to taste. Plenty of eq options there.

I like the UAD Neve 1081 or UAD Pultec Pro.
