Trombone repair in LA?

I have an old trombone that I used to play in junior high and it needs a complete overhaul. Any suggestions on the right person for the job in the LA area?

Did you hear about the trumbone band that got a NYE gig at a local pub.

the pubs owner loved it so much he asked the band if they could play again next year.

the trumbone player said............................

Sure can we leave our gear setup!!!

Don Sawday down in Long Beach does a lot of big players around town's brass instruments (he's a trombonist himself). I don't have his number offhand, but he has a shop down there (the shop may be in Signal Hill).

So what's wrong with it? Sticky slide? If there are no dings in the slide, then scrubbing the outer slide with brass cleaner and putting on a good slide treatment should do the job. If there are problems with the slide other than that, then who you take it to depends on where in LA you are. You can contact the Hornguys and they can recommend a repairman in your area:
