Distressor Favorite Settings

I would like to use this post as an area to share with other Empirical Labs EL8 distressor users, our favorite settings for different instruments and voices. This would be of value to all of us I beleive.

I'll start,

My Favorite Vocal setting for Rock Music is:

Ratio- 10:1
Audio- Dist 2
Sidechain- HP and Mid Band engaged

input- 5.5
Attack- 5
Release- 3.5
Output- 8

I usually compress my signal by 10 dB at the very peaks.

I would love to know what others are using for acoustic and electric guitar and bass guitar as well as any other instrumetns.

Holy S**T! That's excaclty like I set it, very warm and gooey.

We used it this week in Brit Mode, with the input at around 9.5 for a drum room mic and made a filtery sounding loop out of it that the client flipped out over. I mean we SLAMMED it
