Any recommendations on an Insurance Company?

I know this has been covered before, but the posts are old and I've read them all when they were being posted. Can a few of you drop in to share your experience with your insurance company? I'm looking to insure everything in my studio from Hardware; mics, monitors, preamps, computer.... to Software; iLoks, dongles, etc...

I also have a mobile rig that I'd like insured also... as well as some visual equipment. I've read about some insurance companies posted on here going under... so I want to know which ones to shop around for, and who has the best policy plans.

Any and all recommendations are welcomed.... thanx in advance for your time gentlemen.

And what rates are you paying?

I'm also wondering what are "typical" rates for studios. How do you split policy costs between building and gear? Does anybody insure $500K of gear for $500K?

now this might be little to you guys- but i don't have 500k of anything..

I insure my studio which is also where i sleep/eat/****

i have 30k worth of insurance from Allstate- that ran me 220 dollars for the year.
if anything happens-stolen, burns, water..etc

of course everything has its picture/serial/model # stored at my parents house in NY..

however, if a tornado hits my studio-

i get nothing.stikestike
