Open backed headphones

I'm thinking of getting a pair of open backed headphones to do some audio editing. I was wondering how loud they would be to the outside world. How loud would they be for someone else in the same room if I were listening at 85 dB spl. Also do you think they would wake up someone in the next room over with the door open? thanks everyone!

Senheiser makes very nice "open back" headphones. Ergonomically extremely comfortable for long sessions, and the noise outside isn't bad at all. Yes you can hear a little bit outside.. but it should be ok for others unless you leave them cranked up loud. But like all headphones built this way, you will also hear more noise bleeding in from the outside as well. Works both ways..
