Thanks gearslutz!
You are gonna love it. I have never heard it sound bad on anything and it just kills on acoustic guitars.

First off congrats on your pacifica buy,i feel like we are brothers now.i have a few mics and the one that sounds best with my pacifica is my st 66 from sterling sound,im not a big eq fan on my vocals im more of a believer that if its rite going in no need for eq...but that combo for me sounds great..

Mics for Pacifica

Responding to an older post here. But I can confirm the OPs sentiments as what I have found is the Pacifica does indeed add mids (fatness) and roll off some high end. The Pacifica changed my C414 XLS in a good way. Through the Pacifica it sounds more like a ULS. More robust and somewhat rounder. My take on the Pacifica is that a more neutral or bright mic may work best. A darker mic may become too muddy. For example, through the Pacifica, the TLM 193 (a darker LDC) can sound muddy (for vocals anyway). I am anxious to see how the KM184 or MC930 would work with the Pacifica for micing acoustic guitar.

I guess the lesson is that you can't talk about a PRE without talking about the mic, and while we're at it, the instrument and artist. I can confirm that the Pacifica, while doing a lot of good things to the source, will roll off some high end, and like any character preamp, change the character of your microphone. Sometimes this is desired and sometimes not. That's why there is so much strategy in matching mics and pres to a sound source and artist's objectives.
