How 2 add audio on an already-made mp3

Hi

Not being a musician I'm using Samplitude basically to edit MP3's, wav etc.
Now I've decided to go a little further and decided I would like to add stuff--what I mean is add singing to an MP3--Add a track so to speak to the original.
How would I go about doing this? The help file wasn't too clear for me.

Thank you

Mich

not the correct forum for this, but i'll chime in anyway:

1. convert MP3 to AIFF or WAV
2. import file into one track of your DAW (DP, logic, nuendo, etc)
3. create 2nd track in DAW
4. arm second track for recording
5. sing
6. mix
7. bounce final multi-track to single file
8. convert to format of choice
