Overhead choices

I'm using ribbons on overheads. I really dig my SF12 and think I'm going to start using it MS. I did some tests recently and liked what I heard in my room with that mic in MS rather than XY.

I keep fooling myself thinking I'm going to find something I like better than the SF12, but I come back to it every time I start to stray.

R84 if you desire figure 8 (99.9% of all ribbons are).

Beyer M160 if you desire cardioid (hyper in fact!).

To me those are "the" choices for drum overhead.

That R84 delivers way more vibe and SIZE to the track, and takes EQ like a champ.

The M160 is very tight patterned and isn't overly dark, delivers a more precise and realistic sound by comparison, nice low end extension also but not the hugeness delivered by the R84.

planning to pick up a nice pair of OHs this week. Anyone know how the Gefell M300s compare to the M295s?
