Multiple clock masters in one setup

I know it sounds silly, but listen to this: 4 converters in total.

Two AD converters, where one of them has a great clock.
+
Two DA converters, where one of them has a great clock.

Within each domain – AD and DA – one converter would act as master. And then there's no need for a dedicated clock device.

Would this work in theory?

Works for me. A-D one master, D-A two masters into a master A2D. Sounds better than all slaved to one master (in my case an ad16x)
