Revox PR99 MK1
Hello,

I recently bought a REVOX PR99 MK1,
but I don't know what kind of cable I
should use for the inputs and outputs.
Do any of you own a MK1 and know what to do?
Regular XLR doesn't seem to fit...

Something wicked going on there. I've got a PR99, and regular XLR connector work just fine.

Thanks for your reply! Maybe I'm just too careful, but when I try to put
them in they seem to be too big. Does your PR99 have a digital counter
on the front?

No, it's got an analog counter... that no longer works

there is a recess in the plug socket. Possible that some XLR types don't fit in the recess?

I own PR99, great recorder (among others). Mine is a mkIII though.
It uses standard xlr for i/o - clean with Deoxit the connectors for a better connection.
It does have a digital counter that works fine.

I've had XLRs not fit, and also get seriously stuck. Remedy is to change the connector on the cable, or try a different cable.
