Black Lion Scarlett mods vs Audient ASP

I'm putting together a new input configuration for my studio, and I was considering buying an ASP800 to feed into the lightpipe input of my interface, when it occurred to me that I have a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 that I was planning to use mostly for its outputs (to feed a headphone distribution amp). But I notice that BLA offers a mod of this unit for a few hundred dollars less than the cost of an ASP800.

So now I'm wondering, how would the BLA-modded Scarlett inputs compare to those on the ASP800? If they'd be comparable, I could save $ and a rack space. And I like the idea of making better use of what I've got rather than acquiring new stuff. However, if I'd get noticeably better (bigger/taller/wider/warmer/more open/more 3D/insert descriptor of choice) sound from the Audients even after the mods, I won't go there.
