Here's the problem. Even you had a 480L, would you be able to make it sing like the ECM engineers do? That reverb sound is my "White Whale". I could afford a used 480L if I were to cease buying anything but food . . .but I fear two things:
1)It might break and parts are getting hard to find, but mainly 2) I'd find it sounds pretty much the same as my LX480 plugin, and I'd still be trying to figure out how it's done.

JEK has gotten the ECM sound out of everything from the 224 to the 960 and the Bricasti. I just don't think it is primarily about which machine, but in how they are tweaked and EQ'ed and pre-delayed. I'd pay money to know
