Will these Genelec sub help my low end accuracy?

I've got 2 Genelec 8030Cs, which I really like-
I occasionally get a lilttle bass farting out/crackling in playback, I chase some low end in my sound--
A Genelec 7040A is recommended as a good pair for those
will this really help me hear and shape sound better?
how do you run cable from your interface to these? out from the interface, into the sub, then to the 8030Cs?

Thanks for the help

I have those exact monitors with that exact sub.

They work wonderful together. I always keep the subs volume at minimum except for when I want to impress clients, there I’ll crack it up.

You really NEED to have a good room with lots of bass traps in order to get a good response from the sub. In case you don’t, save it and buy another piece of gear. In an untreated room it’s almost always more harm than

Cables are indeed routed that way.

Interface -> Sub -> Monitors.

Be careful calibrating the system as it has lots of options (in the sub and behind the monitors). Also, try every space in your studio to fit the sub until you spot the one where it really shines.
