Yamaha MT4X recorder noisy knobs

Hi,

I've just got a Yamaha MT4X.
I'm using a normal position type I tape with the dbx engaged and it's working really nice and quiet! loving this thing.. It's just that the knobs make noise when I rotate them, pretty unusable for live tweaking

Should I just open this baby and spray contact cleaner in the pots?
Has someone done it? Do you recommend doing that?

What would you guys suggest me to do?

If there's a thread about this somewhere pls let me know

Hmm.. I see, at least opening it just to have a look won’t damage anything I guess

Also the “play” and some other buttons must be pressed pretty hard to work. Do u know anything about that as wel?
