What about "modern sound " condenser mics ?

Hello,

I read more and more literature about modern sound microphones.

They name for example the Neumann TLM 107 like a modern sound.
The Lauten Clarion is also named like this giving difference with Laute Atlantis, and also the Sony C100.

I think I'm verry interested in this kind of sound, and would like to know if someone has listened or compare this 3 mics and tell me his impressions.

Thanks a lot.

I haven't tried any of those particular mics. But when I think of modern sounding mics, I think of mics that aren't so boosted in the upper regions, so that they pair well with digital technology.

That exactly what they talk about. Companies today start to not reproduce old mics, now they integrate the idea of digital material and daw, this is what I have read about the TLM 109.

It seems that Lauten Clarion is the same idea, non like Atlantis. The curves are more linear etc...

I would like to now if someone have tried one of this mic, or A/B this tree mics.

Tlm107 is a fantastic, universal transducer.

I have the Clarion and i really love its sound. I find it beautifully open and clear. It did not work on one female singer i worked with but has been amazeballs on everything else. Awesome on a male bass singer in an acapella group. Awesome on electric and acoustic guitars. It is my only 'premium ' mic though, so i have buyer pride and nothing to compare it with so YMMV. But i do think it sounds modern too, and thats a good thing because the future is now. The Dark Side of the Moon is almost 50 years old.
