Orion 32 voltage question

Hey folks.

I have an Orion 32 that I use with an RME Madiface so that I can use Totalmix for routing.

I've set my test oscillator plug-in in Logic to 0dB at 1000Hz and routed it direct out a channel.
It's showing up in Totalmix at 0dB on said channel.

When I put my multimeter on the TRS cable running from the Orion I'm getting a reading of 5.93V on that channel.

In my Orion settings I've got it set at 0dB line out, and -18dBu line trim, and -18dBu ADC trim.

What am I doing wrong? Should I not be getting a reading of 0.775V?

Thanks in advance. Have been lurking in the shadows of all things Orion for too long now and had to ask.

Lives for gear

You are getting scales messed up.
You choose the level dBFs (digital scale in DAW) that equals 0dBu and the calibration of that 0dBu equals a measured output level of 0.775v

So if you want to set to -18dBFS, you set the signal generator to output 1kHz tone at -18dBFs and then calibrate that to measure 0.775v on the output.

Under no circumstances do you set your output generator to 0dBFs.

(your trims are on inputs and have no relevance to this discussion)
