Headphones: Dt770 Pro vs ATH M70x

Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking at purchasing some closed back headphones for tracking and mixing (until I get myself some monitors).

I've currently been going back and forth between the DT 770 pro (269.99 CAD) and the ATH M70x (299.99 CAD) and not really sure which one I should buy. I know fit will ultimately play a big role in deciding but if both were comfortable which would be the better buy?

Thanks in advance

Just like the DT 770 Pro, the ATH-M50x also has an impressively wide soundstage that you can immerse yourself into.

Exceptional Metal Build
Sleek Design
Non-Detachable Cable (32 Ohm version)
Enjoyable Bass
Excellent Stereo Imaging

Robust Plastic Construction
Traditional Design
Three Detachable Cables
Clean Mids
Immersive Sound
Our Verdict

This is a difficult choice.

If you'd like to experience detailed sound that is also great on the bass and is arguably one of the best Beyerdynamic headphones you can get, then go for the DT 770 Pro.

If you're looking for a pair of headphones that have emphasized mids, and the ability to be used in different scenarios, then go for the ATH-M50x.
