Would a ECM8000 work well as a live performance room mic? If not, what would?

I'd like to capture some video recordings of my live acoustic singer/songwriter performances. I'm looking for something that would be better than my camera's mic or my portable Zoom H2n recorder. It sounds like the Behringer ECM8000's flat response would make it a good room mic for a live performance, but I rarely see it mentioned for that purpose. Any thoughts on why it would or wouldn't work for that purpose? If not, what would be a good alternative? Thanks for the help!

It could work - a big downside is the high noisefloor. Its a very noisy mic, not useful for quiet sounds.

I would give it a try. I used a similar looking measurement mic last saturday to pick up a cocktail drum. Put it close to the right knee of the drummer. Together with ddrum trigger on the kick it worked perfectly.
Maybe try to put the mic closer to the performer (you) instead of leaving it at the camera position to capture a more clear sound.
