Opinions on the soundcraft TS-12 console?

36 frame Soundcraft TS-12 console modified by Jim Williams of Audio Upgrades

Anyone used one? What do you think they are worth nowadays?

I had a (unmodded) TS-12 in my former studio.
Sounded nice. The pres are on the warmer side and the EQ is a bit dark, too, but overall it´s a nice desk.

I used one in the late 80s and I was never very fond of it, or indeed it's big brother, the TS24. However, I was coming from a Helios background. If it is going for a good price (no more then $4,000) go for it. Just beware of the old Soundcraft problem of noisy switches, ie eq, routing, phase etc. My guess is that you would have to just go ahead and replace all of these staight away, so check to make sure you can get a the parts from Soundcraft.
If you are in the US I would advise going for an MCI instead.

noisy switches..unavailability of opamps...take your pick...you need to be able to support whichever older analog consoles you buy
