dave marquettes MERCURY AUDIO M66 is the best
thing since sliced bread by quite some way
its completley smokin
and if u is lookin for a compressor to buy

its a very intresting box that i cant adaquatley describe to you
but it gives me a hard on
and its rich
and the distortion is just to die 4
and its very quick
and sensitive
little changes make big differences
it only has 4 nobs but will most likely take me years to
get it

I have the Mercury 66 in my studio now. It's all that you say it is. I just purchased their EQ-Ps. They're insane.

i havent used this box before but wow it looks sweet. i should hope so for almost $8K.

the following is on the marquette site - im a bit confused as i thought that "miss independent" was mixed entirely in the box pro tools by dave pensado , here it says otherwise unless pensado also used analog gear with the mix itb. or maybe they are speaking about an earlier mix by the producer that was not used.

here it is:

"Miss Independent" hit the radio airwaves on April 7. The single is different from Clarkson’s previous offerings; it isn’t a ballad like her first single "A Moment Like This." According to MTV.com, Christina Aguilera and her producer Rhett Lawrence originally worked on "Miss Independent" for Aguilera’s album Stripped, but ran out of time and didn’t finish. Lawrence decided to donate the tune to Clarkson, since her voice is somewhat similar to Aguilera’s. Before recording it, Clarkson finished co-writing the song with Lawrence to put her own touch on it. (Story from chartattack.com)

That single was tracked with a Marquette Audio Labs V672 Preamp (Vintage), MERCURY EQ-P Equalizer and MERCURY M66 Limiting Amplifier. As well is was mixed using the MERCURY EQ-P Equalizer and MERCURY M66 Limiting Amplifier. It turned out to be be a great song, a great vocal performance and a great sounding single... I am glad Mercury Recording Equipment Co. could be part of your project. Kelly’s album, THANKFUL, debuted at #1... Congratulations Kelly and Rhett!

The M66 is one of the boxes, the more you use it, the more you love it.
