For those interested in the difference between the 2 op amps, I've attached 2 files. 1 file is the LEAD vocal through the 525 w rogue 5 and, the other, with the api 2520(not vintage)

The buss chain has the Silver bullet on it with rogue 6 OP AMPS.

I'm curios which OP AMP everyone will prefer....

Funny - I heard the complete opposite. The 2520 was thicker and little smoother on top. The R5 was thinner, nasal, and actually a little more sibilant and bothered my eyes when the vocal first comes in. (The eyes thing always happens to me with nasal).

After I read the comments, I went back and did it a second time just to make sure I didn't screw it up and it my impressions were exactly the same.

I guess one man's smooth is another man's nasal and one man's nasal is another man's smooth?

Actually I've been wondering if I should change the op amps in general in my 525 and now I realize I should probably leave it alone because sound of the 525 probably both the compression action and the opamps. I had wondered if I put cleaner op amps in there I could get the 525 compression with a cleaner sound but honestly I should just leave it alone.

At the beginning I did one mixing the input with the 2520 and the output with the R5 and it’s a really interesting sound. You might really like it. It’s much cleaner. I’ll do a quick run and post it here for you to hear.
Cheers

Looks good!
Hey are you using the A-designs eQs on the mix buss
Along with the silver bullet?
Or is it with the fusion?
Or depends on the song?
I have the Nail and would love their hammer but
I"ve got to write some music first and then worry about the mix!
Rock on!
