Don't know about that, but we should be seeing pics of their Portico 5088 summing unit. 8 inputs, 2RU hight, 1/2 rackspace wide so it can also be mounted vertically in the RND Portico racks.

Oh, woops, it's actually the Portico 5082 (not 5088 as I said before).

I'm looking at a picture of it from a brochure. It's got panning, buss-in, mute, and a gain knob with 20db range on each channel. The master section also has LED meters, master buss-in and gain knob. Looks nifty!

It was not at the show yesterday when I stopped by the booth. I did pick up the brochure which has a picture of it.

Contrary to the popular belief, there is NOT currently ANY work going on at all on a 500 series Neve pre.

Back to the subject, they showed me the scale line drawing of the full console that will ship in the early spring - should be very cool.

I have the brochure of their line (haven't yet looked at it) and I'll see if I can scan it or something.

No 500 series Neve pre. They're in the alliance for something.

The 5088 has transformer balanced direct outs on each mono input selectable either pre or post fader.

The 5082 is a simple 8x2 mixer with basic level/pan/mute capabilities.

We have gotten 6 products to market in less than 2 years and now we are readying the 5088 for shipping this Spring. We appreciate your enthusiasm, however please understand we are on a very aggressive design schedule.

Best,

Josh Thomas

I believe it is a 2 space unit in their vertical rack mount. Looks pretty cool.

5088 Discrete Analogue Mixer nearing completion

Production slots are currently being confirmed for the 5088 and delivery is on course for May 2007. The 5088 is a modular design with 16 Channels, Direct Outs, 8 Busses, 8 Auxes, 4 Stereo FX Returns and a well equipped monitor section. The 5088 utilizes custom designed input and output transformers as well as all new custom op-amp cards throughout. Additional 16 channel packages can be adjoined to the master, and Portico modules can be incorporated into a penthouse frame for added functionality.

Wonder what the 'penthouse' frame looks like?

Thats gonna be a pretty big penthouse if you put two portico modules up there for pre/comp/eq...profile must be much steeper than the wunderbar with end on portico module over the meterbridge.

Was it $30k for the 16ch?
