Blue, Violet and Red Mics?

Ok. What on Earth is going on?
Please someone explain this to me.
Who owns who and who's leasing or stealing designs from who?
I've been using Blue Mics for a while now and then this
year discovered Violet which for all intents and purposes look
almost identical. Then today, I discover there are Red Mics as well.

Please someone explain this situation to me.

Thanks in advance

Yeah there are threads on this exact subject...The blue/violet problem has been going on for a while and apparently hasn't been resolved yet even though I think there was a lawsuit...The general consensus seems to be that Violet is basically ripping off blue's designs.

A little bit better description = RED and BLUE are owned by the same people. The RED system was created to take advantage of Blue's "Bottle Caps" utilizing their solid state (Type B) and tube (Type A) bodies for far less money than the Blue Bottle ($4400 with one capsule).
