Adam A7x- Need some kind of low cut?

I ve just bought those great speakers to my new room.
But since i moved this new place last week, my acoustic treatment is not in place yet.
Just listening a couple of records i know very well, it seems there is some 300-500hz kind out of control.
Since my treatment is not installed, i am assuming thats the reason.
I ve heard those monitors in a friends studio and found them amazing, but i forgot to ask him if he had the low shelf knob doing something.
Should i "burn it"a little more? Will the sound change a lot with more time playing?
I remember my Yamaha Msp5 changing its sound completely a couple of weeks later on the road from the purchase...
Or maybe this low-mid thing its just my new room without all the difusers, bass traps, and absorbers?
Anyone had that impression of crazy low mids in the A7x?

I think it's your room needing treatment and/or monitor placement. Out of the box I (and most comments I've seen) noticed a bit of extra brightness that tames itself after a bit of breaking in, leaving a still bright speaker that's good for picking out high end detail or incredibly annoying if you don't like the A7x sound (lucky for me it's perfect for what I need). I've never noticed any sort of bigness in the low-mids, pretty balanced.

Proper room treatment will definitely help as it always does. There's also the chance that if your monitors are against the wall, near a corner, and/or sitting flat on a thick, unpadded desk, you're introducing more bass/low-mids into the equation.

i agree 300-500 sounds like a room problem to me.
