I know I'm reviving an old thread but for the Kemper users checking out this thread for KPA resources, you might want to check out www.ampiretones.com as well.

I'll add my own slightly biased reply here :D

Home | Norbury Brook Profiles

some of the best profiles you'll ever use :D

it's all down to having great amps to start with and then the process of profiling, the mic's used, phase, mic pre's, mic positioning, blending.

My secret weapon is a 1960's original vintage U67 ($12,000) it's a microphone that captures detail without harshness, even the re issue doesn't do that.

Blended with a classic 57 and a ribbon you have a chance of really capturing what your rig can do.

Small request for vendors:

Could you please refrain from "spamming" the thread with recommendations for your own products?

The purpose of the thread is obvious - recommendations from customers as to which Profilers they like; advertisements (that's what they are) from vendors are completely-useless in this context and dare I say it, annoying.

Contrary to the above post from Monkey Man - thanks for the heads up will def be trying your profiles. Good CV btw

Already have the Reampzone's Dumble type profiles which I really dig.

In fact could happily just stick with Dumble profiles, and ditch the rest.

Obviously have expensive taste
