Channel Jumping-Does it matter what inputs?

Hey, I just got a Vox AC30C2 amp and was wondering if it mattered (sound wise) as to what channels I choose to jump? Right now I have the Normal High input and Topboost Low input jumped together.

Also, after the channels are jumped does it matter what remaining input I plug into? It seemed to sound better when I plugged my guitar into the Normal Low input as opposed to Topboost High input. Not sure If I'm really hearing a difference, or just think I am.
