How do you like the Thorpy pedals? You have the three that interest me. Curious your thoughts on Gunshot, Muffroom/Fallout Cloud and the Veteran please. Thank you!

My 3 boards. All 3 work with my 3 channel switching amps. Modulation and delay in amp FX loop. Small board splits to second amp's FX in for stereo. Big board is my looping board, and can select two loop paths, each to its own amp. Mission Engineering exp. pedal controls filter sweep on Xenographs.

Small board:

A few of mine... There is the complete 1978 Ross catalogue on one board. All Pigtronix on the large board and a collection of my pedals on my main board.

I think the Muffroom/Fallout Cloud (mine is the Muffroom, but there is no internal difference) is the best triangle fuzz on the market, full stop. The Gunshot is a favorite drive of mine, though I enjoy using it for just flavoring in a stack. It has a nice subtle architecture that I find responsive and expressive, even when cranked.

The 3rd one is not a Veteran, it's a Dane (hand signed signed by Peter Honore himself) and it might be one of the most important drives to be released in the past few years. It has articulation out the wazoo and a killer boost.

Coincidentally, I am seriously considering a Veteran based on my love of the Muffroom Cloud and Thorpyfx's stellar record designing pedals.

Over the years I have come to realize that less is more. This board does everything I need. I have learned each pedal inside and out.

The flip side is that I am always wanting more pedals
Fortunately, I have learned to suppress the urge.

For those who haven't quite grasped the English vernacular...

Less is More

used to express the view that a minimalist approach to artistic or aesthetic matters is more effective.

That which is less complicated is often better understood and more appreciated than what is more complicated; simplicity is preferable to complexity; brevity in communication is more effective than verbosity.

One of my all time favorite guitarists. Amazing no doubt about it. On an intellectual level, the guy never even finished high school so I wouldn't expect him to grasp the proverbial meaning of "Less is more". I do like that interview though.

Hmmm..... Let's see... I guess it's just a customized Ibanez RGA 42 FM with House of Tone Pickups to a Helix LT to the P.A.

The gig-board isn't much to talk about. Just a tuner and a wireless. But this is what I play around with at home.

Chain: Crybaby - Nickel octave - Keeley-ish DS-1 - Marshall Shredmaster - Boss CH-1 - Boss PH-2 - TC Flashback - TC Ditto.

At home I'm just playing through a small Peavy transistor combo on the clean channel, so the Shredmaster gives me my main JCM800-esque sound. DS1 to boost it and delay for delay. The Ditto is the newest addition. Fun to play around with looping.

The octave, chorus and phaser are there just for fun(and to fill the space). The octave pedal was one of those... «This looks like an interesting thing to spend 10 bucks on while drunk» type things. So those three might be subject to change as time goes by.

Does anyone use a Fractal AX8? I'm thinking of ditching my pedal board to switch to that.

New pedalboard build. Actually scaled down. I took the Boss SY300 off because I am now playing guitar and keys.
