Power + Signal in one cable ?

Hi,

A friend of me has a bass rig in which he uses power+signal cable between his amp and pedalboard (like this)

He uses a vintage bass and some pedals and claims not having any problems with it...

Any comments or experience with this? If this works it could be great to have just instrument -> 1 cable -> pedalboard -> 1 cable -> rig.

Less time setting up, less looking for power distribution in the front of the stage (you'd be amazed...),...

I had noise issues just running my power cable next to my audio cable. It was VERY apparent with higher gain sounds. It's basic audio knowledge to keep your audio and power cables from running parallel.
