...that makes him/her sing better, great. You're more likely to get a better sound by replacing your Shure wireless with a Beta 58 with a cord, for a lot less money.

Vox lost in the mix

...there, I either have enough rig for the gig, or not. Noted for next time. There are brighter mics than the Beta 58. They tend to have other baggage of their own. You pays your money and you take your chances. Look at an Audix VX-5 and an EV N/D 767s for starters.
