Also, you might try not looking so hard for other people using the name. Or just flip the spelling if you run into something (domain name, myspace).

It kind of reminds me of the Leadbelly/Woodie Guthrie story. Woody asked Leadbelly to show him a lick and Leadbelly said something to the effect of: 'Show you? --Hell, if you want it, you're gonna have to steal it.' (WG is reputed to have said the same thing to Jack Elliott).

The point being, of course, that if you want the goods you've got to be willing to stick your neck out, risk being called a fake, and own it.
