Those are easy to work on and great for experiments.

Load some Jensen JT-13KC input transformers in there. Then, replace the green mylar "chicklets" EQ caps with Wima FKP-2/MKP-2 polyprops. Put in machine 8 pin sockets and drop in some LME49720NA's. Add some .1 uf psu bypass caps from pin's 4 and 8 to ground. Also add small 22 pf feedback caps across the opamp's feedback resistors if not fitted.

Check the opamps fro DC offsets. More likely you will have none. Then you can bypass the electrolytic coupling caps.

The difference is like after you land in a jet and your ears pop.
