That's what it does, takes the ITB digital sound and makes it sound full, warmer and fatter through the natural compression that running through tubes brings...for the price it's great....I can't compare it to higher end/higher price gear because I haven't owned other tube gear...but a notable improvement on the ITB sound to my ears....more 'vibe'
