Ghandi- "I have never advocated passive anything."

Peace is often a struggle- against myself. When I lay down in a street and allow cops to beat me with a club, I struggle for weeks afterward against my urge to (attempt to) beat the crap out of any random cop I see.

Peace is often a struggle- against complacency and ignorance. For every one who will go lie down in the street, 100 more (including myself at times) will wish they did it, cheer it on even, but not do it. There are a 1000 reasons this happens and consciousness must be raised so the 1000 reasons will be noticed as such.

So yes, you can- and must- struggle for peace, if you want it.

"All that is necessary for evil men to triumph, is for good men to do nothing".
