I am one of Arturia’s sound designers,
although I wasn’t involved with the OBXa-V.
I did buy it the day it was
no it wasn’t given to me free.

I think it sounds great, plenty of low end
and very analog. Not at all difficult to get
the “famous” OBX-a sounds out of it..even
if your favorite isn’t in the presets, pick a
sound that is ballpark close and you can
tweak it to get what you want, easily. Unless
you don’t care for synth programming and
just go with presets.

I also have OPX-Pro II and OBXd, and for
me, OBXa-V is much better than either one
of them.
