Kenny Loggins’ ‘Caddyshack’ Opening Titles Production Technique Question

At the start of the opening titles of Caddyshack, before Loggins comes blasting in with his hit single “I’m All Right,” there’s a snippet of different song that’s called “Make the Move” on the soundtrack album. It sounds like it was assembled on an early sampling keyboard like the Synclavier or Fairlight, with plenty of flanging and other effects, and/or tape loops. Considering this was recorded in 1980, it seems like a preview of some of the soundscapes that would be dot the MTV landscape once sampling keyboards became more commonplace and Eventide rolled out the H3000. It seems like there’s a lot going on here, and I’d love your thoughts as to what those ingredients are.
