st because they have some step sequencing features They are the furthest thing from peoples minds when they ask for a step sequencer.
I do agree here to the CV and Gate style though. The MPC-60/ASQ-10 had amazing features. They still do. The reason it's missing is price! To remake an original version would see no real marketplace! Too expensive to reproduce fully. The RS7000 though? Hmmm?
