Lives for gear
I would say stick with Yamaha or Roland boards.

The action on the Yamaha Motif ES8 is usually referred to as balanced hammer action, which is also used by the Motif XS8 and XF8, though there may be very minor revisions to teh keys in the newer models.

A similar action - aka Graded hammer action is found in some of the Clavinova - entry level - non portable digital pianos, and also in the Yamaha CP33, and CP300. The only difference is that Balanced has identical weighting on all white keys, while graded is heavier progressively in the bass, like on a real piano.

You could pick up a secondhand CP33 or CP300 but that's a risk.
