...with its 90dB signal to noise ratio. I was extremely glad when i moved up to the 16 track digital Roland VS-1680, you'd have to be out of your mind or deaf to prefer cassettes. Roland TR8S - Drum machine with individual outs and sampling.

Not too worried about it because newer parts tend to be built better and with a better sense of what is going to be used constantly. The VS line was a 90s thing anyway. 90s encoders sucked! I am going to have to try out the above step recording tips, thanks to all who chimed in.
