To me the most notable limit was the underwhelming sound of the 808 emulation which wasn't helpful at all when recording.

...digital reissues of the 808 or 909 but Roland said “never mind all that, here is a TR-08, a TR-09, and a TR-8.” What Behringer is doing is a great thing for the music and synthesizer community. And for reference I’m saying all of this after first buying and then 2 weeks later...

DAWless set-up / midi basics

...as the brain"? Can you think of a reason why the Mindburner midi clock would happily control the tempo of a TR-09, but only when connected directly, not when running through the Kenton Thru 5? (I tried different ports and cables). Thanks again.
