I use a motu 1224 in my studio if i need extra channels. My main converter is an ssl alpha link but for internal routing like talkback, guidtracks......i use the motu 1224. Very cool is the aes input if you need one.
It is no high end tool but you can do a lot of things with the 1224 what makes your daily studio live easy and you do not have to use your main converters if you need all channels.
