A good U87 style mic, or better yet, a pair can cover pretty much all the bases in your studio. A new pair of U87ai will set you back about 6 grand these days and many people think they aren't as desirable as their predecessor, the U87i.

The U87 is probably the most cloned mic over the years, and I've tried many of them but have always found the clones to be brighter than what I was looking for. When BeesNeez announced the BU87i C and specifically mentioned that it was inspired by the sound of the U87i, not the ai, they had my attention!
