Purchased this to upgrade from a Motu M4, which had replaced a Focusrite interface.

Console works fine - no issues at all staying primarily within Console for tracking.

Unfortunately, if you're in a situation that requires monitoring through a DAW (soft synth or because you want to use a native plugin), latency is poor - worse than the Motu M4 and only stable at higher buffers than the M4. On a pretty powerful 2019 iMac, it's only stable at settings that push latency above 9ms RTL. Not the worst in the world, but I expect better given the $1500 price tag and expensive plug-ins.

This becomes a bigger issue when UAD's plugins are compared to the options available natively from Eventide, NeuralDSP (guitar sims), Soundtoys, Valhalla - the studio outboard gear emulations may still rank among the best but for bread and butter effects, I find UAD lacking (and yet very expensive).
