PALMER PAN 04 by jetam
Cheap passive DI boxes usually don't offer good sound quality. PAN 04 is an exception. If I compare it with a considerably more expensive Radial Pro D2, it isn't quite as clean, but the Radial makes the sound a tiny bit thinner (compared to going directly into most line inputs) while the Palmer actually makes it a bit fatter which usually sounds pleasing.
Build quality is good enough to make it reliable, although the enclosure is made of thinner steel than Radial, so you can't expect it to survive being run over by a truck. Also if you are rough with it, the paint will chip (Radial has the same problem, KT DN200 is better in this regard) and stage tape can damage the lettering on the top, although connectors and switches are protected well enough.
If you need a cheap stereo DI for keyboards, I would look no further.
