The RNDI does a very good job of not adding color so you can hear each instruments character come through as it is, yet is enhanced in a very pleasing way.

While being fairly transparent, it is not sterile as the harmonic content comes through better than most DIs I've heard. The custom transformers deliver a tight and punchy low end with open and clear highs that seem sweet without losing clarity.

Besides the 2 x 1/4” TRS inputs the unit also has a TRS 1/8 inch input option that can be accessed by a switch for your device that I’ve yet to use. My only small knock on the unit is my personal preference of I would prefer an external power supply rather than the phantom power this unit uses to power it.

While it's not cheap, the cost fades away after plugging it in and using it.
