I think I was the first adopter/owner of this interface in the United States - I've been working with it for over 10 months at this point, and I've been active on the threads that discuss it. That said, I don't know why I've put off posting up a 'formal' review in this section of GS. Anyway, here goes:

- Sound Quality. Easily a five star rating. I've owned/used Lynx, RME, Presonus, MOTU, Echo, UA, and other brands that don't spring to mind right now. This box's converters have nothing to apologize for in this area at all. Without a true A/B/X double blind test, everything I say here is subjective; however, I prefer the sound of the box to anything I've used to this point. The conversion and routing implementation is superb, and I really appreciate the attention to detail on the monitor outputs. They are the stars of the show for D/A conversion in the box - and this is what I want for the studio's monitoring suite. The FPGA effects are easy to use and sound just fine - again, they are in the same league as anything out there (UAD, Waves, etc.), and they work as "hardware inserts" as far as signal flow, etc. is concerned. I'm really impressed with this unit's conversion.

- Ease of Use. Four stars. The box is, let me be clear, really easy to use both connection-wise and control panel-wise. That said, I'm docking a star for the relatively cumbersome "Antelope Launcher" way of getting into the control panel. It's better now than it was as the beginning of the year - and updates are no longer *pushed* at the user without input. These are great changes. In addition, the control panel is now resizable - I'm glad I made that suggestion. This box has *everything* as far as connectivity is concerned, and it's relatively future proof given the thunderbolt implementation. I've had ZERO issues with the drivers...something that needs to be emphasized given some of the problems in the past. This box is rock solid, all the time.

Features - Five stars. Show me another box with this kind of connection suite, this level of conversion, and 32 channels of I/O over either USB or TB. Add in the FPGA effects (some free, most for purchase), and this box has a feature set that is unmatched on the market. After 10 months, I'm still singing its praises...this is not a flash-in-the-pan product. It's a solid, professional-grade solution for a commercial studio's conversion duties.

Bang for Buck - Five stars. See above. 32 channels of this kind of conversion and these kinds of connections (including MADI, ADAT, DB-25, etc.) for this price is a no-brainer (IMO). I think you're going to have a hard time finding anything competing with its feature set for anything financially in the same ballpark.

Overall, I think Antelope killed it with this interface. I'm certainly sensitive to past experiences chronicled here on GS by other users. I do not want to trivialize them or their ongoing concerns. That said, I fully recommend this unit to anyone willing to give Antelope a shot. I've had superb service response when asking questions - and someone has always returned my messages, etc. incredibly quickly. They've also made changes to drivers/control panel layout/etc. quite efficiently based on user feedback. I'm quite impressed, and I'm looking forward to using this interface as the 'brain' of my studio for a long time to come.

Overall this thing is great!!!! I am still learning the routing and that will take some time as expected but definitely have no complaints. It is very nice to have the option of USB and Thunderbolt within the same unit. I only wish it was Thunderbolt 3. I haven't tested the unit on Windows yet. The most help I have found so far are searching for YouTube videos.

I recently purchased an Antelope Audio Orion32+ Gen 3. I already own one of their Zen Studios and one of their Orion Studio Thunderbolt. For awhile, now, I have wished for a converter that had more channels and also that had a number of channels without the built in preamps that are part of the undeniable appeal of the Zen Studio and the Orion Studio. Both of these units still work fine but they are both out of production and I became uneasy at the prospect of eventual obsolescence. The biggest reason that I acted when I did though was that Antelope had this rig (and some other ones) available for a reduced price that I decided was too good to pass up.
Now that I've had some time to integrate it into my set-up, I'm really happy with it. I like the DB-25 connections that allow my collection of preamps to be always available without re-patching and the master clock/outs (there are two) can slave my other gear to a really fine standard. I'm really surprised how much audible difference it makes.
So, I'm a happy camper.

The antelope audio orion 32+ gen 3 is by far one of the sexiest and superior interfaces available. I currently produce for different labels for different genres.

I recently switched and immediately noticed the amazing sound quality. The software is very straight forward. The clocking quality is amazing, never a lag, even with multiple channels with several plugins running, and VERY ACCURATE SOUND on ALL GENRES OF MUSIC RECORDED!

I purchased it with the MP 32 and at the pres are amazing. Easily better than interfaces twice its price, and offering way more functionality.

A huge shout out to Antelope and what they continue to do. Keep up the great work.

I recently bought the Antelope Orion 32+ gen 3 in Mastering Mansion, Madrid Spain.

The interface is easy to use, in case you don’t like the mouse drag option to do the routing you can use the matrix option that works like any matrix you can find in any digital console or other interfaces.

In terms of sound and conectivity, I think this is really a very good price. In terms of AD DA, I would compare it with apollo 16, that costs much more money an has less channels.

The dedicared monitor DA is really good too, I own a Lavry blue and I think it is comparable in terms of quality, we did an AB comparision and it was hard to choose who was the better DA.

I’m very happy with the purchase and I hope to keep it for many years. Hopefully will add a Antelope Pure 2 in the future to obtain two channels of mastering quality. But for know I feel that I make a big improvement in my old studio (RME UFX, apogee DAx and Lavry Blue).

I purchased an orion 32+ rev 3 a few months ago during a bout of studio upgrades. I love this interface. It sounds fantastic and the number of io options has been a dream in integrating my vast collection of outboard gear more fluidly. So far I have had no major issues and the few issues i had in configuring it were due to my own learning curve and antelope tech support was very helpful and responsive with that. I definitely would recommend this to anyone, though im still only dealing with a few months of a test scenario

I am running Logic X on an early 2015 Macbook Pro. No pops or clicks over USB and I only almost cried once when trying to figure out the routing matrix. The reviews are true, when you wrap your head around it, it all makes a lot of sense.
The monitoring in this unit is stunning. I have had mine for two weeks and have been recording non stop. Everything sounds clearer to my ears, and trusting the conversion makes recording that much more fun. We will see how this unit keeps up over time, but so far, I am in love.
