Synopsis: Preamp is good, eq is decent, compressor is meh

It's ok. The 'preamp' parts of it are pretty good, I find them musically pleasing nothing crazy or super colorful. I like but don't love the eq and I like it and the compressor can be disabled with a button. I like the outputs and inputs. Basically, its a decent preamp for the price if you don't use the compressor.

Which I found the compressor hard to use, it's basically either totally off or distressor level of crushed. I really found it unusable for everything but extreme limiting. It feels like the ratio is stuck on 8:1.

But it really doesn't color like a crappy Presonus so the sound quality is fine.

And one more little thing, the wal-wart is quite large.

Since this is a budget preamp, it may be a lot of people's first experiences trying to replace vsts. If that's what you're going for, don't expect to replace any of your compressor vsts. But if you need something to drive a mic or do some pre-eq, this will work fine.
