It ain't easy, but who wants easy? It's completely customizable. You can change the harmonic content, add or remove output transformer, add shelving and different filters, and drive the tube a a little or a lot. It works as stand alone stereo pre but I also love it on a stereo bus.
I love this unit- I use it all the time. Rich, vibrant recordings. Completely customizable so very usable for many elements, including a mix buss saturator.

I have Creamer+ and i love it. It really shines on 2 buss and makes whole track sounding so better.
You can add low and high frequences and when you compare it before and after its night and day.
I really dig it also on drum buss, bass …. It makes them so huge. And you also get 2 amazing preamps with so many textures. Its crazy..
And Boris from Sonic Farm was so kind. He asked me to talk over Skype first so he would better understand what i want and he adviced me alot.

I've been using the Creamer+ daily for about a month now and I absolutely love it on everything. I find that its so versatile... from bass to guitars to vocals and then when I'm done tracking I simply move it over to the 2 bus where it shines again. I find the mixes have a sophisticated quality to them, I'm not sure how else to describe it.... warm in the mid range and sweet on the top end without sounding harsh or brittle. I love the fat and air switches when mixing through them as they offer another perspective when I'm mixing down.. a bit like mastering during the mix. I find when I mix to where I like it when they are bypassed then check out the switches the mix jumps to life. For the quality and all the many uses I get from the Creamer Plus it was the best investment I've made for my studio , I have Avalon 737's ,LA 610,Focusrite 220 and Chameleon labs gear so its in good company! Boris is great to work with and really honestly cares about providing the best service, from helping with the set up to making sure you're happy with the Sonic Farm gear, its no wonder why they always get such great reviews in all the sound magazines. I Look forward to my next Sonic Farm product!!! You guys Rock!!

Absolutely amazing preamp. Used it on overheads for a hard rock session as well as heavy guitars and fell in love. Especially with a 57 and Neumann TLM49. I couldn't recommend it more. Only complaint is price point but I am saving my pennies!

In order to pull off a world class mix, one has to start with great sounding tracks. Nowadays, more often than not, we try to do the impossible and fix inadequate tracks with plugins and hardware processors. But pale recordings cannot be revived if the original definition, transients and harmonics are not there. Ever since I've started using Sonic Farm preamps, I've dramatically cut down on plugin use, focusing more on positioning mikes and obtaining gratifying takes from the get-go. I started with a Creamer Plus and then added 2 Silk Roads, a Berliner, a 2di4 and a Creamliner as the time went by. Very happy with this gear!

I just wanted to chime in and say that I have been extremely pleased with my creamer plus in the past weeks. Anything tracked with this seems to jump out of the speakers. You have so many tonal options at your fingertips and everything just sounds gorgeous.

My last session was with a sparingly played staccato saxophone in a rock/funk song and with the soft saturation in triode mode any hint of aggression in the timbre soon melted into pure butter! I had a Lewitt LCT-840 and a Heil PR40 sitting as close together as possible (their capsules in relation to one another) and a blend of the two mics (each on their own side of the creamer plus) was all that was needed to be fiddled with. Needless to say the the player and I were quite satisfied.

Bass ran through this sounded more organic and inspired the player more than the preamp output on my Ampeg PF-20T.

Vocals just feel connected; if you get what I mean.

I put 4 under «bang for buck» because this is boutique gear...not something that sells for a few hundred dollars...but it is worth every penny and affordable - nonetheless - for the serious pro or hobbyist.

Anyway, gotta get back to work...check it out.

If someone came up to me and said that I had to get rid of all my outboard gear except for one piece, the Sonic Farm Creamer+ is easily the one I would keep!

As a preamp, you have so many options to get the sound exactly perfect. From the clean and clear "triode" mode, to the more saturated sounds that you get in "pentode". Then you can go even deeper with the gain up options and the optional transformer on the output. It also has all the add-ons and more that you'd hope for in a quality preamp, like high pass filtering options, input and output pads, phantom power, and impedance options. If that wasn't enough, there are also the "air" and "fat" options on the preamp which add the most tasteful amount of EQ to the top or bottom end.

Unlike other tube preamps, the Creamer+ has virtually no noise floor! This reality about tube gear has kept me away from using other tube preamps in the past, but Boris at Sonic Farm has assured me that the Creamer+ is quiet like "smoked salmon". He's absolutely right!

The feature that really makes the Creamer+ an every day piece of outboard gear is the line inputs. I've been using this across my mixes since I've gotten it, and it's making a major difference in mix quality. Depending on how hard you hit the input, you can just clear up the mix or you can create stunning saturation. It's also worth noting that Sonic Farm has given you the ability to fine-tune the "fat" and "air" settings, which is useful if you're using it for mixing because you can confidently stereo-match them. Another sign of a really professional piece of gear.

For the price, you really can't match the quality you're getting with the Creamer+. Also, Boris has provided EXCELLENT customer-service from day one - always checking in to make sure I'm happy with the purchase and answering any questions.

I was looking for a preamp that was versatile and had a big polished sound that would make mixing easier. The creamer definitely fits the bill. What I love about it is that it is very usable on sources that I normally like really clean such as piano (really love it on piano) but it also sounds great on sources that I like to push on the color. Bass guitar just has to plug in and the sound is phenomenal. I've found that running old mixes through the creamer plus really gives a nice analog polish/glue to the mix although mixes with all tracks having already been recorded with the creamer preamps can become a little too much if running back through the machine at mixdown. I also have 2 AML 1073ez which sound great but they get very little love now that I have the creamer plus. My only beef is that the "Fat" and "Air" eqs are not very flexible but its a minor gripe. It would be hard to go wrong with this preamp. Would not mind 8 channels and nothing else.

I decided to acquire the creamer plus after hearing it at a friend's recording studio in Sheffield, UK. I was instantly amazed by the sound and flexibility of this box! Got in touch with Boris and Zoran and the process was dead easy considering we are in different parts of the world I got my preamp extremely quickly after purchase which is a plus when you are excited waiting for your new gear to arrive... I had it for a month now and I can say my first impressions were right but also exceeded in all matters. I've been recording with a Millennia preamp for years, I just sold it. The creamer doesn't give me that transparency but wow!! it gives me a lot more and it can also be pretty clean if you want. I've done plenty of A/B before letting the millennia go and creamer was the keeper. One particular thing that stands out for me is how quiet this preamp is. And when you use it as an insert on your mix bus it shines too, it adds a very nice feel to the track with added depth and sense of glue which I love. One more thing... the customer service from these guys are from another planet too, they really care and want to help you out, I had a couple of phone conversation with Boris and the added touch of personal contact is invaluable in my opinion.
