Eml Synkey 2001

Electronic Music Lab Synkey 2001

5 5 out of 5, based on 1 Review

A wonderful vintage synth with the uncommon possibility of using different semi-tones in the same time (13 oscillators in total), LFO with stairwave and VCF with LP/BP/HP. The sound is so fat and 100% analog.

Eml Synkey 2001

EML produced Synkey 2001 in 1976. The monophonic synth used a top-octave generator (13 oscillators in total), one for the primary tone and twelve more for higher semi-tones. As a programmable synth Synkey 2001 has got unique form of program memory using the punch-cards (like EKO ComputeRhythm). Of course, in the analog architecture there is LFO with several waves (with stairwaves), VCF with LP-BP-HP (stepless!), ADS envelope generators, even ring modulator. Unfortunately there is no CV/Gate control interface.
