Dangerous Source is a fantastic monitoring interface that gives others a serious run for their money. D/A through asynchronous USB is wonderful and easily audible step up from converters of devices like Apogee Duet 2, simply much cleaner and neutral. It would be awesome if it also had a preamp+A/D converter, however if not needed, it is a really fantastic unit.

Pros:
- Great D/A
- Great Headphone amp (2 outputs)
- AES/SPDIF input and thru-port
- Great unit to A/B different sources
- Can run multiple speakers at the same time
- Momentoggle or latch mode setup
- Ease of use with OS X (plug and play, no drivers needed)
- Price
- Solid build, great looks too

Cons:
- No on/off switch
- Doesn’t cook breakfast
