Heres the link:

I wonder if it might be a cheaper alternative to the Tascam DVR1000 as a stereo backup device for the higher sampling rates. Has AES and records at 96khz / 24bit. I cant seem to find much info on it though. Anyone seen it, know anything about it? Whats the catch?!

apparently it is now shipping. Im very close to ordering one. Seems like a good price with a professional feature set (at least the AES/EBU input)

It does seem basically like the Masterlink without the HD or mastering features. Because I dont need any of those features I thought this might be a slightly cheaper alternative. But it is on ly £100 cheaper and when you consider the 20min hi-res limit on the CD-R that you refer to the Masterlink's HD begins to look a bit more attractive again. Hmmm, decisions, decisions...

Why isn't there a device like this with a HDD and a DVD+/-R?
Wouldnt that be the Tascam DVR1000? I guess that doesnt have an HD though
